Volkswagen Sharan
The new Volkswagen Sharan is an updated version of the current Sharan, which is one of the oldest models on sale today, with few modifications since 1995.
Longer and wider than the current Sharan, VW has resisted temptation to make masses of changes to the new Sharan’s styling, following a theme of current VW models, including the Touran. The new model retains its seven seat layout but will have more interior space thanks to a 75mm longer wheelbase.
One notable change is the option of electric sliding for the rear side doors. Another option will be an adaptive chassis that allows the driver to choose between comfort, normal and sport settings depending on the driving conditions. Also available for the first time in the new VW Sharan is Park Assist, helping drivers guide the car into parking spaces.
With the new Volkswagen Sharan, you’ll have the choice of two 2.0-litre common-rail turbodiesels delivering 140 and 170 horsepower, and 1.4 litre and 2.0-litre turbo-charged petrol engines providing 140 and 200 horsepower respectively. There’s also a choice of six-speed manual or DSG gearboxes.
