A5 Sportback
The Audi A5 Sportback mixes the ‘rhythm of lines’ design concept featured on the A5 Coupe with all the practicality of a five-door vehicle.
It is generously equipped. The specification is aligned to that of the A5 Coupe and is packed with features to ensure a great driving experience, whether the driver is alone or accompanied.
The A5 Sportback also brings a new dimension of safety and practicality to the premium market. Running gear, safety equipment and assistance systems provide a high standard of active and passive safety. It retains Audi’s characteristic agility, and driving dynamics.
Design - exterior
Many of the features of the A5 Coupe on which the A5 Sportback is based are carried over. The long wheelbase, short overhangs and elongated bonnet create an unmistakeable presence on the road. Two additional doors mean the A5 Sportback has the perfect blend of practicality and design.
Slim headlights and large air inlets accentuate the A5 Sportback’s width giving its front end a sporty look. The flat roof and slim dynamic side window design reinforce its coupe look. Curved shoulder lines highlight the wheels and tie the window design into the styling. The picture is completed by a spoiler lip which is harmoniously integrated into the tailgate.
Design – interior
The interior design of the A5 Sportback is very similar to that of the A5 Coupe. The key difference is the rear seating area. The design is harmonious but its complex lines and surfaces produce a new and vividly sporty architecture. Spacious yet sporty, the interior design is clearly emphasised by understated features. The dashboard has a powerful three-dimensional design that integrates the instrument panel and centre console.
Equipment
The A5 Sportback equipment levels have been set up to directly mirror those of the A5 Coupe. This provides ease of understanding for both customers and sales executives. This car will be available from launch with three trim levels – Standard, SE and S line and is as desirable as it is practical.
